Welcome!

"She's Dal That" is my subtle (maybe not subtle) way of pointing to my cultural heritage: India and recipes from the country that I grew up eating. My start at cooking came when I was much older. I had no interest in preparing food, learning different techniques, or understanding what balances with what. After graduating college and realizing that a Easy Mac and Cup of Noodles diet was getting old very fast, I decided to learn everything I could about cooking. My mother has been cooking since she was 8 years old, and is a wonderful person for inspiration and recipes. She lives across the country from me, so cooking and sharing recipes brings us closer when we are so far way. This blog is a culmination of all kind of foods from all kinds of countries and I look forward to sharing my journey and my creations with you!
